What is T.E.O.T.W.A.W.K.I. ?

 

Quite simply, it stands for The End Of The World As We Know It.  It can be temporary (e.g. a tornado, earthquake or epidemic), or it  can take on the permanence of a total breakdown of society as a whole (Nuclear or biological attack, asteroid hit, pandemic or super volcano to name a few).  It means no news at six, no cable TV, and no running down to the corner market to get a loaf of bread and a gallon of milk.  It will be a time when credit cards may be worthless and cash is worth less than toilet paper.  It could mean you are totally dependent on your prior preparation, or the good will of your neighbors.  Typically it means the Government is crippled or non-existent.  You are on your own. 

 

It will be a time when you look at your children with confidence knowing you are prepared....or hang you head in shame knowing you cannot provide for them because you were too stupid or lazy to prepare.  It is in your hands.
